Catherine is based at her studio in Wellingborough. Her work ranges
from kiln formed, painted, stained and flame work glass to sculptural
ceramics. She has been practicing for over 20 years and says “My work
is very experimental. I am continually testing and pushing the
boundaries of the materials I use. Although I have worked with glass
for over 20 years I am relatively new to glass bead making. As it is so
fascinating to watch someone at ‘the torch’ I have decided to share
some of my knowledge with others over the Open Studios period. I shall
be demonstrating and answering any questions at the times shown in the
stables at Barton Hall” Flame Work Beads by Catherine Arrowsmith can be
seen at Barton Road Kettering NN15 6SG. September 12th, 13th, 16th,
